What is Worship Like at St. Andrew?
Our goal for every worship service at St. Andrew UMC is to provide radical hospitality and passionate worship to all who come seeking Jesus.
Prayer is a significant part of our practice as we hear the joys and concerns of all in attendance.
Our Pastor inspires and challenges us with a scripture based sermon teaching how we might live out our faith and follow the way of Jesus every day of the week.
We celebrate Holy Communion every Sunday. Children are welcome in worship at St. Andrew, as we believe that faith is “caught” not “taught” and what better way for children to know what faith is all about than to participate in worship.
Sunday morning services begins at 9:30 a.m. and reflect a blended service with both contemporary and traditional elements. Our service includes Praise Music led by our Praise Band along with choral music provided by our Choir.
We believe that an hour of Passionate worship changes all of the other hours of the week. We know that Passionate worship leaves us challenged, sustained, and led by the Spirit of God, and it changes how we view our neighbors and ourselves. We know that worship equips and encourages us and calls us to alter our paths as we grow in Christ-likeness.
